New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to Make Announcement Following Prostitution Allegations

Eliot Spitzer, first-term Democratic governor of New York, is expected to make an announcement later today in response to the revelation that he has been involved in a prostitution ring that was recently busted.

Spitzer has been reported to be involved in a high-class call girl ring known as the Emperors Club, an operation that was said to involve hourly rates that topped $5,000 and hour. According to some reports Spitzer had been known as “client #9.”

The 48-year-old Spitzer is married with three children.
