Eliot Spitzer, the first-term New York Governor, has been identified as “client no. 9” in a recently busted high-class prostitution ring and is now expected to announce his resignation.
The news surfaced earlier this afternoon that Spitzer, a Democrat, had told senior advisors he had been involved in the prostitution ring.
Allegations that Spitzer was a client of the Emperors Club sent shockwaves through the Political world as the 48-year-old had been seen as a moral crusader of sorts, tackling various forms of crime as Attorney General.
Spitzer is believed to be organizing a press conference at which time he is expected to announce his resignation.
The governor is married with three children.
