Study - Web Conferencing Puts PowerPoint on Steroids

Report shows how face-to-face meetings fall in importance after Web Conferencing for Users

Brockmann & Company, the customer insight firm released its latest independent report on web conferencing and its relationship to business performance. The report, entitled "Perspectives on Web Conferencing" reviews web conferencing habits of 460 users in business organizations from around the world.

Peter Brockmann, President of Brockmann & Company said, "Web conferencing is generally third most important after face-to-face meetings and audio conferencing. Yet for the 31% of respondents that ranking was reversed. This is surprising that for these professionals, web conferencing would play such an important role in job performance."

This report also showed that coworkers and higherups were the most frequent participants in web conferences as opposed to customers and suppliers. This highlights the services' importance for internal training, collaboration and operational reporting. We conferencing has become an important collaborative service and is an important factor in the increase in user satisfaction with the conferencing experience and employee satisfaction. Other business performance metrics also showed remarkable positive differentiation relative to the others.
