Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to Perform at St Pete Times Forum July 16
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be performing live at St. Pete Times Forum on Wednesday, July 16 at 7:30 pm.
Singer, songwriter and guitarist, Tom Petty is most known for his hit singles, “Dont Do Me Like That”, “Refugee”, “Runnin Down a Dream”, “The Waiting”, “Don’t Come Around Here No More”, “I Wont Back Down”, “Free Fallin”, “Mary Janes Last Dance”, “American Girl” and “You Dont Know How It Feels”. Petty’s album, The Last DJ, reveals his concerns for the modern recording industry and the downfall of independent radio stations.
Often supported by his band, the Heartbreakers, Petty also released solo work. His most recent solo project, Highway Companion, was released in 2006. He performed the majority of the backing instrumentation himself. The Heartbreakers performed his solo work when Petty toured in support of the albums.
