Jay-Z legally Shawn Corey Carter, is not only an American rapper, but also the Untied States most successful hip hop artist and entrepreneur. Previously the president and CEO of Def Jam Recordings and Roc-A-Fella Records, Carter is the co-owner of The 40/40 Club, a sports bar and lounge, and the New Jersey Nets of the NBA.
Musically, Jay Z developed a reputation as a hip hop artist for his interesting mix of street and popular style music and his ability to develop material without the use of pen and paper. Allegedly, his critically acclaimed album, The Blueprint, was written within two days.
Mary Jane Blige, also known as the “Queen of Hip Hop Soul”, is an American R&B, soul and hip hop soul singer-songwriter who occasionally goes into rapping, record producing and acting. So far, the hip hop icon has sold over 40 million records and 10 million singles around the world.
Mary J. Blige has received more than 26 Grammy Award nominations, 8 of which she won. She was also the winner of the World Music Legends Award for her contribution to the music industry.
Blige is often compared to the likes of Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin.
