Drug Rehab Educates Public

Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia Offers Hope

It is early, but Adam is busy on the phone. A former drug addict, Adam is calling radio stations. Hundreds of radio stations. Not to ask for his favorite song to be played, or to comment on the news. Adam is setting up interviews and talking to station directors about drug education. For the masses.

“Many people, more than is realized, deal with drug addiction,” says Adam. “I graduated the Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia and I knew that I wanted to help others. I know that help is possible. Many people don’t know that yet.”

Drug addiction touches everyone. Whether being actually addicted to drugs or alcohol, or being a family member to a drug addict, or working with someone with a drug or alcohol problem, the proverbial six degrees of separation narrows down to one. Drug and alcohol addiction affects everyone.

When the Narconon Drug Rehab started in the sixties, the widespread problem of drug addiction was not imagined. Rock stars died of overdoses, bad acid trips made headlines, but the problem we face now was confined to a small segment of the population. Currently, millions of Americans are dependant on legal and illegal drugs, causing rising statistics in crime, violence, and misery.

Adam continues, “Until Narconon, I did not have a solution to all the problems I faced, and I used drugs to escape these problems. Now I am clean and sober and know that no matter how life gets, I have the tools and the confidence to face these problems. I don’t need or crave drugs any more. My life is happy and I enjoy helping others.”

Through drug education programs on the radio, interviews on local television stations, and articles in state-wide newspapers regarding drug rehab, the drug problem, and solutions to drug addiction, the Narconon Drug Rehab in Georgia has reached millions. Recently a local news crew arrived to interview clients who had been addicted to prescription drugs for a report they were doing on prescription drug abuse.

“We offer hope and understanding to many viewers and listeners who haven’t been able to cope. After hearing our interviews and seeing our TV shows, and with new data, people know that there is hope. That is the first step.”
