High-Level al-Qaeda Figure Captured, Being Held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

The CIA has reportedly handed over a high-level al-Qaeda figure to the Pentagon and the suspect is now being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Mohammad Rahim was said to have close ties to Osama bin Laden and is believed to have acted as a personal facilitator and translator. Rahim is also said to have aided bin Laden in escaping Afghanistan and preparing various hideouts for the al-Qaeda leader.

In an email obtained by FOX News CIA Director Michael Hayden noted “Rahim is a tough, seasoned jihadist. His combat experience, which dates back to the 1980s, includes plots against US and Afghan targets. He reportedly sought chemicals for one attack on US forces in Afghanistan, and tried to recruit individuals with access to American military facilities there.”
