Georgia Tornado Kills Two, as Saturday Storm Follows Friday Twister

Two people have been left dead and another seriously injured following a tornado that touched down in north Georgia, one day after a twister wrecked havoc on downtown Atlanta.

The tornado on Saturday touched down around Rockmart in Polk County.

On Friday a tornado ripped through downtown Atlanta causing massive damage to several buildings and homes, knocking out power as trees and power lines were strewn across streets and lawns.

Initial estimates have placed the damage at $200 million and Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin declared a state of emergency on Saturday.
