Crane Collapse in New York Leaves at least Two Dead

A giant crane collapsed at a construction site in New York on Saturday, toppling over into a residential block of buildings and killing at least two people.

The crane, estimated to be over 15 stories tall, collapsed in Manhattan’s East Side and destroyed an apartment building and led to the evacuation of several other buildings in the area.

Rescue workers are searching through the rubble for residents who may have been trapped. There were reports of a strong smell of gas in the location.
