Baby Dies after Father Forgets to Drop Her Off at Day Care

A 7-month-old baby died on Friday after the father forgot to drop the infant off at day care before he went to work.

The Houston man, who worked at Rice University, didn’t realize that he forgot to drop the child off until he arrived at the day care later that evening to pick her up.

When the father discovered he had left the baby in the car he rushed the child where she was pronounced dead. According to investigators the cause of death was believed to be heat.

Police believe the death to be an accident and no charges have been filed.
