Summer Camp Shows Students How To Make Each Moment Count

At SuperCamp's popular academic summer camp, students learn many new life skills, including "This is it!", to help them in school, at home, with friends and in all parts of their lives.

Among top academic summer camps SuperCamp stands out for a number of reasons. One significant reason SuperCamp is such a popular summer camp choice is the various life skills it teaches students, to go along with the important learning skills.

One such life skill deals with a student’s ability to focus his attention on the present moment, making each moment count and giving each task his very best effort. SuperCamp calls this skill “This is it!”.

SuperCamp facilitators take time to show students that a “This is it!” mentality can make a big difference in the way they live their lives. It can make each moment powerful, productive and fulfilling. It can help students get more out of school, friendships, sports and everything else they like to do.

The life skills instruction at SuperCamp is customized to the specific ages and grade levels of each of SuperCamp’s four programs. The program for the youngest group is Youth Forum, for boys and girls entering grades 4 and 5 in the fall. This program is offered at Cal State San Marcos in San Diego County July 11-17.

Junior Forum and Senior Forum programs for teens and pre-teens are 10 days in length. Junior Forum is for kids going into grades 6-8 and Senior Forum is for teens entering grades 9-12 in the fall. Both programs are offered at all eight U.S. colleges where SuperCamp is held.

SuperCamp runs one other program, Quantum U, a college boot camp for incoming college freshmen. Quantum U is held only at Colorado College in Colorado Springs. The life skills covered at Quantum U help these incoming collegians prepare for the new world of college with relevant time management, money management and life management subject matter.
