Rehab And Enforcement Can Curb Drug Related Crime

Narconon drug rehab and good law enforcement can help stop drug related crime in the state of Michigan.

Drug related crime is costing society billions and has especially hit the state of Michigan in addition to the continued economic problems throughout the state. And, crimes that are related to drugs that are taking place aren’t necessarily always violent crimes but their cost to and destruction of society is evident. Effective law enforcement is one real solution to decrease the problem; the other is effective drug rehab programs to stop substance abuse and free substance abusers from the vicious cycle.

“The crime rate in the State of Michigan has increased by those under the influence of some sort of drug. It’s not just the drugs that we are so used to hearing about like marijuana, cocaine, heroin, but it’s the other ones too. For instance, prescription drugs, or “huffing” of house hold cleaners, it can be any substance that is used by an individual” says Megan Werner Brennan, Public Contact Supervisor of Narconon Freedom Center, a non-profit drug rehab program located in Albion, Michigan.

“These crimes are happening right in front of us. Thankfully to many on the police departments and other civilians, they are trying to stop this cycle. The state is enforcing more laws and also putting down more serious consequences than ever before for these crimes that are being committed that are drug influenced” adds Brennan.

Narconon Freedom Center is also contributing to help decrease drug related crime in the state through their long-term inpatient drug rehab program. The Narconon program works with their clients to help them overcome the past and shows them how to make better decisions in their lives. Narconon’s program also includes technology set up to help clients to make decisions that will no longer include doing anything illegal. The Narconon program in Michigan has been saving lives for nearly eight years in the state and has had several hundred graduates from their treatment facility.
