Seventh Body Found in Manhattan East Side Crane Collapse Disaster

Monday’s search through the wreckage of the deadly crane collapse in Manhattan’s East Side uncovered a seventh body late in the afternoon, believed to be the final victim of the disaster.

Four construction workers had been found shortly after the accident occurred on Saturday but a search for three missing people had to wait until Monday because of dangerous conditions.

The crane, reported to be 19 stories high, broke free from its restraint at a construction site and toppled into an apartment complex and smashing through the building.

On Monday two more construction workers were found as was the body of a woman who had traveled to New York from Miami to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with her friend.
