6-Year-Old Memphis Boy Dies after Being Shot in the Eye

A 6-year-old Memphis, Tenn. boy who was shot in the eye died on Monday following a brief stay in the hospital.

Charlris Fleming was in a room at an apartment along with a 7-year-old when the shooting occurred Monday morning. Fleming was struck in the left eye and was rushed to Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center where he died later that morning.

Police are still trying to determine who fired the shot; there were three adults at the apartment when the shooting took place.
