Runaway Bride Former Fiancée John Mason Marries

Mason was engaged to Wilbanks in 2005. Only four days before the wedding was to take place, Wilbanks disappeared. After she was found in New Mexico she claimed she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted. Wilbank’s later admitted to authorities that she ran away because of personal problems.

She pleaded no contest to lying to officers and was sentenced to two years of probation and community service. Mason and Wilbanks broke off their engagement and filed lawsuits against one another. The suits were later dropped.
