Australian Man Shoots Himself Using Robot He Built from Internet Plans
An 81-year-old Australian man committed suicide on Wednesday after building a complex robotic machine designed to shoot him.
The man was apparently upset by relatives’ demands that he move from his house and into a care facility. Rather than move the man scoured the Internet and found blueprints on how to create a device that would fire a weapon.
Early Wednesday morning he set the machine up in the driveway and within moments several workers in the area heard shots fired and discovered the man dead.
The machine had been designed to unload multiple rounds from a gun via a remote control.
