Upon entering the idyllic setting of Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center, one begins his or her journey to sobriety immediately. Surrounded by certified and credentialed professionals, individuals addicted to drugs or alcohol are greeted with compassion and concern.
“Each aspect of treatment at our facility is managed by a separate team of highly-specialized professionals,” begins a spokesperson for Mountainside. “Intake counselors are the first point of contact for individuals who enter. These counselors evaluate each person and make recommendations based on the person’s background and addiction history. When the counselors begin exploring backgrounds, often times a pattern emerges that indicates an underlying physiological problem such as clinical depression or even bi-polar disorder. Having drug rehab professionals who are trained and skilled at making the proper diagnosis is key. Mountainside’s team of professionals work together to develop a treatment plan to ensure that an individual has an optimum chance at recovery”.
“We’re not advocating that an individual has no control over his or her addiction simply because a physiological problem may exist. What we do believe, as a result of well-documented empirical data, is that there are individuals who are more pre-disposed to becoming addicted if they do have an underlying physiological issue.
“Once an accurate diagnosis is made, an individual begins actively participating in the course of his or her treatment. We make recommendations that we feel will most benefit each individual and, have a variety of unique therapeutic and holistic offerings to ensure that there’s some treatment modality that will spark the interest of a person so that he or she is motivated to actively engage in his or her recovery. In addition to its licensed and certified counselors and social workers, Mountainside provides medical services through an on-staff Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse with specializations in drug addiction and alcohol treatment. Psychiatric services are available when needed.
