O2 Media’s Hit Morning TV Show ‘The Balancing Act’ Welcomes Feed The Children® to the Program!

(Pompano Beach, FL – June 2010)  Feed The Children® is a well-known non-profit organization that has worked diligently to provide food, medicine, and clothing to kids and families all over the world for over 30 years.  But many people don’t realize that they also have a huge presence here in the U.S. and have helped thousands of Americans in all 50 states.  Tune in to The Balancing Act June 24^th at 7:00 am (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television to hear about their latest idea that’s bringing aid where it’s needed most.

It’s called the “Americans Feeding Americans Caravan™” and it is essentially a fleet of tractor trailers that are constantly moving across the country to put food, personal care items, and other assistance in the hands of people in need.  With the economy failing, many hard-working Americans have lost their jobs or simply don’t have the salary needed to properly support their family.  Feed The Children® helps them get back on their feet while keeping their dignity intact.

Due to an extensive network of regional distribution centers, Feed The Children® is the only hunger relief organization capable of such an undertaking.  “The Balancing Act is a great way to show viewers how they can make a difference,” says Tony Sellars from Feed The Children®.  “Contributing to the ‘Caravan’ is an opportunity to make a difference for families right here in America – people that could very well be your neighbors.”

As little as 20 dollars helps provide 4 children with a week’s worth of nutritious food, and all donations and contributions are, of course, tax deductible.
