One time Democratic presidential candidate and current New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is readying to officially endorse Barack Obama at a campaign event later on Friday.
Richardson has been a coveted endorsement from both the Obama campaign as well as Hillary Clinton as the governor is also a superdelegate and could potentially sway other superdelegates.
Bill Richardson dropped his presidential bid in January and had refused to endorse either Obama or Clinton for some time. After nearly three months Richardson finally seems ready to officially endorse Obama as he was quoted as saying. “As a presidential candidate, I know full well Sen. Obama’s unique moral ability to inspire the American people to confront our urgent challenges at home and abroad in a spirit of bipartisanship and reconciliation.”
