FB Chicks and Hottest Girls on MySpace, two websites that post pictures of attractive ladies from Facebook and MySpace, are under fire.
Both sites have been under a microscope after there was speculation that these sites are proponents of copyright infringement by re-posting pictures that were already on previous sites.
The argument is that the sites were placed by individuals who just used the site to post them and therefore, are not copywritten specifically to the site.
FBChicks.com lists pictures based on the state by which the person is from. In each entry, they list a variant amount of pictures of attractive girls, many from Halloween or while on a beack in a bikini. However, FB Chicks does not list names of the people in the photos.
HottestGirlsonMySpace.net lists names, ages and sometimes measurements. They also link back to the woman's page so people can see their page for themselves.
The difference between FBChicks.com and Hottest Girls on MySpace is similar to the difference in the sites that utilize pictures from. Facebook is more of a community site for friends, mostly undergraduate students, who reconnect via the Internet. MySpace is more of a marketing tool for entertainment companies, musicians and models who want more exposure.
FBChicks.com was down at one point due to a legal complaint filed against them, but the site is back up and running. HottestGirlsonMySpace.net continues to run online with no real obstruction.
