Masters Hall of Fame to Induct Shihan Geoff Harris

Anaheim, CA - Shihan Geoff Harris, Sensei at Dojo Sidcup in Kent, UK, will be inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame during the Eleventh Annual Awards Ceremonies on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Anaheim Hilton in Anaheim, California. Shihan Harris is a Level 6 Dan in Goshin Ryu Atemi Jujitsu as well as an expert and instructor in Core Concepts. He is also the founder of The Guild of 21st Century Fighting Styles and the European Director of Core Concepts, International.

Shihan Harris began his martial arts career as a teenager in London in 1974, studying judo and Shotokan karate. He later studied atemi jujitsu under the direction of Sensei Roger Wilkes in the Medway region. With determination and hard work, Shihan Harris attained the level of 1st Dan in 1986, achieving a score of 96 points out of 100 from the head of the organization, Robert Clark, 9th Dan.

During his 35 years in martial arts, Shihan Harris has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of organizations, including the London Metropolitan Police and the British Special Forces. He has also worked with civilian police forces and the military in the United States, and has been awarded Friendship Coins by Sgt. Rick Rictor of the U.S. Marine Corps and Sheriff Bob Doyle of Riverside County, California. Shihan Harris also developed the Sidcup Dojo specifically to meet the needs of martial arts students, instructors, and groups. Of his induction to the Masters Hall of Fame, Shihan Hill says, “I would like to dedicate it to my beautiful Jo, who has supported me throughout all the years. We’re a great team.”
