Registered Sex Offender Running for Mayor in Texas Town
Four years ago James Brian Sliter was arrested for setting up a sexual encounter with someone he believed to be 15-years-old. When the 38-year-old Sliter arrived he was greeted by police and quickly arrested as part of an undercover sting.
Placed on 10 years probation Sliter, now 42, feels its time he moves on with his life and proves he can be a valuable member of society. Next step, run for mayor of Wilmer.

Speaking to Dallas TV news station KTVT the prospective politician said “People need to realize that people make mistakes, and they need to look past those mistakes and forgive and move on. I'm not asking anybody to condone what I did.”
