Alaskan Fishing Boat Abandoned by Crew

The Alaskan fishing vessel that began taking on water early Sunday morning has been abandoned by all 47 crew members after it was determined there was no way to save the boat.

After losing control of the rudder shortly before 3:00 a.m. the vessel began taking on large amounts of water while it was roughly 120 miles off Alaska’s Dutch Harbor.

Dubbed the Alaska Ranger, the 180-foot vessel was based out of Seattle.
