New York Governor David Paterson Admits to Cocaine, Marijuana Use

On his first day as governor of New York David Paterson admitted to numerous affairs and now, just one week later, the 53-year-old politician has admitted to using cocaine and marijuana while he was in his 20s. With two bombshells in little more than a week New Yorkers will be holding their breath each time Paterson holds a press conference.

Paterson admitted that he “tried it a couple of times” in reference to cocaine and then said “I don't think I touched marijuana since the '70s.”

Paterson had disclosed his prior drug use about two years ago when he was running for lieutenant governor. It wasn’t until former Governor Eliot Spitzer was forced to resign in disgrace that people began to ask about Paterson’s previous transgressions.
