Miami Crane Collapse at Construction Site Leaves Several Trapped, at least One Dead

Construction workers and rescue teams are scrambling to unearth several people who have been buried under the rubble of a crane collapse in downtown Miami off North Bayshore Dr.

The crane suffered a partial collapse that crashed through the roof of a nearby building and through the condominium building it was working on. At least one person has been confirmed dead while several have been transported to local hospitals, at least three of the injured are believed to be in critical condition.

At this time there are believed to be a number of people trapped in a hole that was created by the falling debris.

Initial reports have listed the condo as the Paramount Bay Building, a 56-story structure currently under construction
