Rev. Jeremiah Wright Cancels Central Florida Events Amidst Security Concerns

Rev. Jeremiah Wright has cancelled his planned three-day stop at the Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace in Tampa, Fl.

Wright had been scheduled to speak at a celebration of the church’s 10^th anniversary but those plans had been cancelled due to security risks. According to the pastor of Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace the Tampa Sheriff’s Department has refused to provide sufficient security for the fiery preacher.

The cancellation will interrupt Wright’s yearly trek to the Tampa area where he has gone for the past 25 years to speak at various churches. Wright has come under scrutiny for several sermons that he has delivered in which he has labeled the United States as institutionally racist and said the terrorist acts of Sept. 11, 2001 was America’s chickens coming home to roost.

Wright was scheduled to speak tonight.
