Young Girl Rescued from Well after 27 Hour Ordeal

A two-year-old girl who fell down a 45-foot well in India has been rescued after being trapped for more than 27 hours.

The young girl had been playing outside on Tuesday night when she fell down the uncovered well. Rescue workers, which included members of India’s army, dug a parallel well in order to tunnel across to the girl.

During the ordeal oxygen had been pumped down the well to keep the girl alert and prevent suffocation.

According to doctors the girl appears to be normal but could be suffering from dehydration.
