Police were able to disarm a woman who walked into a University of Louisville student health services building without incident but when the woman’s home was searched investigators found the bodies of two children who had been fatally shot.
The woman entered the building on the Belknap Campus around 9:00 a.m. and the situation was quickly diffused by University of Louisville police. After disarming the woman police then went to the woman’s house and found two children dead.
The University of Louisville had indicated that the woman was a student at the school but that information had not been confirmed.
