One Person Arrested in Virginia Interstate 64 Shootings

Virginia State Police have arrested one person in connection with the shootings that terrified the state on Thursday.

No information has been released about the individual arrested and police are still looking for additional suspects.

Late Wednesday night at least six vehicles traveling along Interstate 64 between Charlottesville and Waynesboro were struck by gunfire. Two people suffered minor injuries.

Police had shut down a 20-mile stretch of the Interstate while they searched for evidence. They did find shell casings in two separate areas giving rise to their theory that more than one shooter carried out the acts.
