Prison Riot at Federal Correctional Institution Outside San Antonio Leaves at least 30 Wounded

At least 30 inmates were suffering from stab wounds on Friday after a riot broke out at the Federal Correctional Institution in Live Oak, Texas.

Several of the inmates were airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio, about 80 miles from Live Oak.

The riot was said to have started shortly after 7:00 a.m. but enforcement authorities have not said what may have caused the uproar.
