A charter bus carrying 49 people including 46 students from the Bryan Elementary School in Jefferson County, Alabama overturned along Interstate 59 on Friday leaving four injured, three of whom were students.
One of the injured students was airlifted to a nearby hospital while the other two students and the driver were taken to a hospital via an ambulance.
The students had been traveling to Chattanooga to visit the city’s aquarium but the bus ran off the interstate around Springville, AL. After running off the road the bus struck a guard rail and overturned.
None of the injuries were thought to be life threatening.
