Earth Hour Adopted by Major Cities Worldwide, Lights Turned of for Energy Conservation Awareness

At least 23 major cities worldwide along with several hundred towns have taken or will be taking part in Earth Hour, a campaign launched by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to further awareness about the need to conserve energy and combat global warming.

As part of their participation major cities will be encouraging their businesses and residents to shut their lights for at last one hour.

Christchurch, Sydney and Bangkok have already taken part in their Earth Hour and several major cities throughout Asia and Europe are expected to follow with the commitment following over the Atlantic and into North and South America.
