Wyvetter H. Younge, Illinois Senator, Robbed at Gunpoint

A man forced his way into the home of Illinois Sen. Wyvetter H. Younge and robbed the 77-year-old woman of what amounted to $7 on Friday afternoon.

 

Younge was not injured in the robbery and told police she did not recognize the man.

 

The senator told police she heard a knock at her door and thought it was her son, when she opened the door the man had a gun pointed at her and told her to get on the floor. He then grabbed her purse and ran.

 

Police are investigating the armed robbery.
