A problem with the baggage handling system at Terminal 5 at
On Saturday about 80 percent of flights departed from the new Terminal 5 while another 85 percent is expected for Sunday.
The problem began almost as soon as the new terminal opened on Thursday as issues with baggage screening quickly pile up. Because staff were unfamiliar with the new system several passengers were informed that their flights would be departing without their luggage.
The airline now has roughly 20,000 pieces of luggage backed-up.
