The Cure Preparing for North American Shows, First up Fairfax, VA at the Patriot Center on May 9

The Cure wrapped up their long run of European shows with a March 20 date at Wembley Arena in London, Eng. and are now preparing for their North American tour set to begin May 9 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.

Following their date in Virginia The Cure will head to Philadelphia, PA the following night for a show at The Wachovia Spectrum.

The Cure have been working on a new album since 2006 with an expected release date in the Spring of 2008.

The Cure has released twelve studio albums with their thirteenth the works heading in to the new year. The styles of The Cure have been a major influence on several of today’s top acts, including My Chemical Romance and The Smashing Pumpkins.
