Sean Levert, Son of Legendary O’Jays Singer Eddie Levert, Dies

Sean Levert, the son of legendary O’Jays lead singer Eddie Levert, has died at the age of 39.

Leveret had reportedly died while being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail in Cleveland, OH. According to a Chicago Sun-Times story Levert was being held on failure to pay child support.

A nursing supervisor at Lutheran Hospital had confirmed that Levert died of natural causes.

Sean Levert, along with his brother Gerald and Marc Gordon formed the group LeVert and the trio scored a hit with “Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (Goes My Mind)”, and then followed with their biggest hit “Casanova” in 1987.
