CPSC Recalls 2 Million Cribs

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for 2 million drop side cribs manufactured by seven different companies. Hardware failure and other factors can cause the drop side of the cribs to separate from the main frame, creating a gap in which a baby can fall in to and smother or strangle.

A list of the recalled cribs:

Evenflo – Jenny Lind models

Delta Enterprise Corp – drop side cribs and models that use a wood stabilizer bar

LaJobi -- Bonavita, Babi Italia and ISSI cribs

Million Dollar Baby

Jardine Enterprises – sold exclusively at Toys R Us or Babies R Us stores

Simmons Juvenile Products Inc.

Child Craft

The affected cribs were manufactured between 2000 and 2009. The recall brings the total amount of drop side cribs recalled over the past 5 years to 9 million.

Each company involved in the recall will provide repairs.
