Wimbledon 2010 Round 2 Results: Andy Murray Uses Big Serve to Power Way to Straight Set Win Over Jarkko Nieminen

Andy Murray moved into the third round of Wimbledon on Thursday after blasting his way to a straight set victory over Jarkko Nieminen 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 at the All England Club.

Murray collected 18 aces and had 49 winners in a match that lasted just over an hour and a half. The 23-year-old managed to grab points on 86 percent of his first serves put in play and never surrendered  a break point.

Murray has yet to capture a Grand Slam singles title yet he reached the finals at the 2008 U.S. Open where he fell to Roger Federer. He reached the semifinals of Wimbledon last year before being dismissed by Andy Roddick and he reached the quarterfinals of the 2009 French Open where he lost to Fernando Gonzalez. In this year’s first Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open, Murray fell to Federer in the finals.
