“The concept for our program grew out of need for individualized treatment options,” begins a spokesperson for Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center. “At the time, drug addiction treatment programs typically offered one treatment program for everyone, regardless of the challenges that each person presented with. That didn’t make much sense to us, quite frankly, as everyone has different needs based on their backgrounds, their addiction and usage histories as well as their family situations. We realized that what was truly needed was a drug rehab program what addressed each person for where they were and what they are—individuals. We put together a team of highly-skilled, specialized professionals who all have extensive experience within the addiction treatment industry. Each individual group has its own specialty and makes recommendations based on their findings. Based on each group’s recommendations, a comprehensive, cohesive, individualized treatment plan is created that has specific treatment goals for each modality. When a plan is formulated, we try to insure that each individual is a part of the creation process so that we are able to spark something inside them that will help them become an active participant in their recovery. Our individualized approach has set a standard that drug rehabs worldwide began following and have continued to follow.”
For more than 12 years, Mountainside Drug Rehab and Alcohol Treatment Center has led the way in offering an individualized alcohol and drug addiction treatment program.

The program won national attention and resulted in Mountainside being invited to Washington to meet with the White House Drug Czar, John P. Walters, who wanted to learn more about the innovative program offered at Mountainside.
In addition to its licensed and certified counselors and social workers, Mountainside provides medical services through an on-staff Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse with specializations in drug addiction and alcohol treatment. Psychiatric services are available when needed.
