A Jamaican national, Kevin Brown, was detained on Tuesday morning at the Orlando International Airport after airport authorities discovered the 32-year-old had materials in his luggage that could have been used to make an explosive. Brown was also found to have literature that mapped out how to make an explosive.
Brown had been scheduled to board an Air Jamaica flight back to the island but authorities noticed he had been acting suspiciously. After questioning Brown authorities then searched the man’s luggage and found galvanized pipes, end caps, laptop, bomb making literature, BBs, batteries and literature.
Brown was scheduled to appear before a judge Wednesday morning.
