Body of South Salt Lake City, Utah Girl, Hser Nay Moo, Found, Suspect Admits Guilt

Police in South Salt Lake City, Utah found the body of Hser Nay Moo on Tuesday evening, just one day after the 7-year-old disappeared.

Hser left her apartment on Monday following an argument with her older brother and her parents reported her missing shortly after. On Tuesday an Amber Alert was issued for Hser and hundreds searched for the young girl.

Police turned their attention to the family’s neighbors and after clearing two apartments of involvement they found the body of Hser in the third. Five people from that apartment were taken into custody and 21-year-old Esar Met admitted in a probable cause statement to “attempting to confine the victim to the residence by force, resulting in her death.”

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday and police will hold a press conference at 4:00 p.m. following the findings.
