Based in Japan, FamilyMart is engaged in the convenience store business. The company is operated within three business segments. The Convenience Store segment operates a chain of convenience stores in Japan and overseas markets. The Electronic Commerce (EC) segment is engaged in the mail order business through Websites, mobile sites and catalogs, as well as the provision of services through Fami Ports, a multi-media terminal. The segment is also engaged in the development of goods. The Others segment is involved in the accounting business, the provision of store related services, the credit card business and the food manufacturing business.
