MissingMoney.com Helps People, Business Find Missing Money

MissingMoney.com, a free database that assists people with finding their missing money, has been getting a lot of attention recently.

MissingMoney.com, which is a state-endorsed national database, is helping people identify and file claims for any lost financial assets, as well as assisting individuals and businesses in recovering unclaimed property at no charge.

The site allows people to just fill out their name, state, ZIP, etc. and the site automatically searches over 40 states. One in eight Americans has some missing money to claim, which an average of $800-$1000 per missing claim.

Uncashed paychecks, uncollected security deposits and undeliverable refunds worth a staggering $16 billion, which the Missing Money site is allowing people to collect.

The Missing Money website, which is located at www.missingmoney.com, was featured on NBC's Today Show Friday morning.

The Today Show also featured TreasuryDirect.gov, which allows people to check to see how much their expired savings bonds are worth.
