Lisa Montgomery Sentenced to Death for Killing Pregnant Woman and Cutting Baby from Womb

A U.S. District Judge in Kansas City, Missouri handed Lisa Montgomery a death sentence on Friday following her October conviction on murder charges.

Montgomery was found guilty of murdering Bobbie Jo Stinnett in 2004 and then cutting the baby out of her womb and keeping the child as her own.

U.S. District Judge Gary Fenner took the jury’s recommendation and sentenced Montgomery to death.
