Summer Camp Fun Starts With A Sweepstakes Celebration

SuperCamp, the original academic summer camp, just enrolled its 50,000th student and is celebrating with a sweepstakes promotion.

SuperCamp, which put academic summer camps on the map in 1982, just enrolled its 50,000th student. The student, a 14 year old 8th grade student at Carmel Valley Middle School in San Diego received a free enrollment into this summer’s SuperCamp at Cal State San Marcos in recognition of this milestone for the summer camp.

In announcing the event, Bobbi DePorter, SuperCamp president, also announced the launch of the SuperCamp 50,000th Student Sweepstakes, a promotion that will run from April 4 through May 31. “This sweepstakes is meant to celebrate all 50,000 students who have enrolled in SuperCamp over our 27 years,” said DePorter. “It’s a big day for us and we want it to be equally special for families across America.”

The Grand Prize winner will receive a free 2008 SuperCamp enrollment to the U.S. SuperCamp location of their choice for a boy or girl entering grade 6-12 or college in fall 2008 and a SuperCamp Student Support Package that includes six books and seven DVDs covering the learning and life skills taught at SuperCamp.

In addition, 10 first prize winners will get a SuperCamp Support Package and a SuperCamp t-shirt and 50 second prize winners will get a SuperCamp t-shirt.

No purchase is necessary, but everyone who enrolls a child in SuperCamp between April 4 and May 31 will be entered into the sweepstakes automatically. Anyone interested in enrolling and learning more about SuperCamp can go to the SuperCamp website at http://www.supercamp.com/.

SuperCamp offers four grade-specific programs: the 10-day Junior Forum for students entering grades 6-8 in the fall, the 10-day Senior Forum for students entering grades 9-12, the 7-day Youth Forum for kids entering grades 4-5 and Quantum U for incoming college students. The dynamic learning environment is designed to maximize long-term retention of the information provided.
