Two Sisters Die in South Boston House Fire

Two sisters were killed early Sunday morning in South Boston after a house fire left the two trapped on the top floor of their triple-decker house.

The girl’s mother and brother were able to get out of the house and it was the girls’ brother who pled with his sisters to jump to the street. Paralyzed with fear the 14-year-old and 3-year-old couldn’t bring themselves to jump and huddled in a closet.

When firefighters finally reached the top floor they found the two already dead.

Both the mother and brother were taken to Boston Medical Center.
