Engaged in the design, engineering and manufacture of all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and motorcycles and markets them, in addition to related replacement parts, garments and accessories.  Products are sold through dealers and distributors in the United States, Canada and Europe.  The company’s distribution network consists of 1,600 independent dealers in North America and six subsidiaries with 43 distributors in 130 countries outside of North America.  Snowmobiles are sold directly to dealers in the snowbelt regions of the United States and Canada.  The company’s products are marketed primarily through its affiliated motorcycle dealers, and Polaris ATVs are sold through lawn and garden and farm implement dealers.
