The Lollapalooza lineup for the 2008 music festival was leaked Friday, much to the chagrin of organizer Perry Farrell, who wanted the lineup to be a secret.
Apparently, Jim DeRogatis leaked a large number of the lineup for Lollapalooza, leaving Farrell very upset. The two have been going back-and-forth via various media outlets, but the lineup is one for the ages.
Kanye West, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Wilco, Nine Inch Nails, Gnarls Barkley and Lupe Fiasco are among the blockbuster names that are playing the 2008 Lollapalooza, which will be held on Aug. 1-3 in Chicago's Grant Park.
The Raconteurs, Bloc Party, Cat Power, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, Kid Sister, Girl Talk, Mates of State, G. Love and Special Sauce, the Black Keys, Broken Social Scene, Kid Sister, the Cool Kids, Blues Traveler, Jamie Lidell, Battles, Office, Grizzly Bear and Go! Team were also leaked as performers on Friday.
Organizers have also announced that Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Dierks Bentley, Okkervil River, Amadou and Mariam, John Butler Trio, CSS, Battles, Jamie Lidell and Butch Walker will play too.
Other names announced that were not on Friday’s leaked line-up include Duffy, Mates Of State, Spank Rock, Brazilian Girls, Chromeo, The Kills, Rouge Wave, The Go! Team, Mason Jennings, The Gutter Twins and MGMT.
Three-day passes are currently available for $190 at the Lollapalooza Web site, which is located at www.lollapalooza.com, before the price goes up to $205.
