Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT) to Hold Q1 2008 Conference Call April 16

Engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of a diversified line of healthcare products, Abbot Laboratories is operated within four business segments.  Pharmaceutical Products include adult and pediatric pharmaceuticals.  Diagnostic Products include diagnostic systems and tests for blood banks, hospitals, commercial laboratories, physicians offices, alternate care testing sites, plasma protein therapeutic companies and consumers.  Nutritionals Products include a line of pediatric and adult nutritional products.  Nutritional products include coronary, endovascular and vessel closure devices.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved HUMIRA, for moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis, in January 2008.  The FDA later approved the company’s SIMCOR, a cholesterol management medication, in February 2008.
