Acne Treatment reviewed online by Los Angeles Dermatologist Ada M. Winkielman M.D.
Topical retinoids, such as Differin ™, Epiduo™, Retin A Micro™ and Tazorac™ are a primary component of acne treatment because of their unique ability to open clogged pores. Acne treatment aims to control one or more of the underlying causes of acne. Almost all cases of acne can be effectively treated. Dr. Winkielman joined Valley Dermatology in 2005. She is experienced in all aspects of dermatology and performs various cosmetic procedures too. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of Warsaw, completed an internship and primary residency in dermatology at the Military Medical Institute in Warsaw, Poland, and completed an advanced dermatology residency at the Medical University of Warsaw. She also trained at the French National Institute of health and did Medical Research in Lyone France and at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York. She also completed a pathology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and is board certified.
Dr. Winkielman joins other leading dermatologists in the Los Angeles area who use the Vivacare Patient Education service to help patients and local community learn about their health and treatment options.
